What paperwork do I need to rent a place?

Unlike for instance in Germany, renting much less regulated in Czechia. So landlords will be fine with a lot less paperwork. It might be though helpful to have some proof of income, e.g. your work contract.

General

  • Bezrealitky.cz 🇨🇿🇬🇧🇷🇺 – main Czech portal for renting and buying property (also in EN & RU languages)
  • sreality.cz 🇨🇿🇬🇧🇷🇺 – Czech-wide portal, also available in English and Russian
  • Expats.cz Real estate 🇬🇧 – neat search engine for flats for rent with map navigation
  • UlovDomov.cz 🇨🇿 – website only in Czech (but that way one can probably avoid expat competition)
  • Facebook marketplace – link leads to Prague but for other cities, simply change the location in the menu on the left

Short term (2 weeks - 6 months)

  • Flatio
  • Airbnb – referral link giving you up to 34€ on your first booking
